Jennifer - Is that the Lauren Willig book? I have that on my TBR pile.
Really, though, I don't read much historical romance. I liked the cover and title for this one so I picked it up and then kept coming back to it - doing that thing where you stop reading and then say, "well, maybe one more chapter" - wanting to see what happened next, even though I was pretty sure I knew what would happen next. Despite the plot flaws here, that "need to keep reading feeling" says something about Mullins' ability to write a charming, compelling book. I'll pick up her other books based on that "special something" this one had.
