Actually, it’s much more appropriate to call this a critique of the book rather than a simple review — it covers everything from plot summary to story structure to character development, and it highlights how the book does, and does not, fit within the label “paranormal romance.” I truly appreciate how detailed and thoughtful your critique is. I loved HELLS BELLES and it was more than I was expecting. I really like this author’s voice and am looking forward to her next book.

I read this over my vacation and really enjoyed it. But yeah, I think it really should have been marketed more as an urban fantasy than a romance. Nothing wrong with that as the story is good, just not really a strong romance.
